Two Mahi-mahi — Dorado — cut through turquoise shallows, one breaking the surface into white foam, the other slicing deeper below. The electric yellow-green and cobalt blue of the Dorado's flanks are among the most vivid colours in all of oceanic wildlife, and Glen caught them at the moment they're most intense: mid-hunt, fully lit, the water around them throwing back the sky.
This is another of Glen's departures from his Canadian northern subjects — the Dorado carrying that same quality of absolute precision he brought to his trout and bass studies, but in a tropical register entirely different from the cool, quiet lakes of Ontario.
